VNC without monitor

Hi, my custom carrier board doesn’t have HDMI/Displayport to connect to monitor. With Nano/TX2NX (JP 4.6) I can setup a dummy Xorg screen and it works fine. I have tried to have dummy Xorg screen for Orin NX with JP 5.1.2 but it doesn’t work, I have to have a dummy display port plugged in to have VNC working.

Now I’m going ot use Xavier NX on my custom carrier board (no HDMI/Displayport port) + Jetpack 5.1.2, and I wish to have VNC for some GUI apps. Is it possible? Any idea to make it?

Thanks for read/share.

Please refer to Jetson AGX Orin FAQ

Q: How to configure VNC w/o monitor connected for Jetson?

and give it a try.

Hi Dane,

Your suggestion works, but it is required to have a screen at the first boot, to enable screen sharing in settings.

Do you have any idea to enable it by command?
Thank you.

We searched online and it seems like there is no commands for enabling screen sharing in settings app. This would need other users to share experience.
