What format can we use for the M.2 SSD and can I boot the Jetson Xavier NX with it?

Hello! I bought a Jetson Xavier NX and I want to install a M.2 SSD on it but I didn’t find the information about the format that is needed for the M.2 SSD? Will a 2280 fit on the Jetson Xavier NX?

Also, if I use a M.2 SSD, do I still need a micro SD card to boot the Jetson or I can do it directly with the M.2 SSD?

Hi,

  1. 2280 (key M) should be ok for NX devkit

  2. Yes, unfortunately some boot components are still on sdcard so cannot remove sdcard.
