Can Jetson Xavier NX support NVME M.2 2242 and 2260 SSD?

hi,
I noticed the development kit used M.2 2280. However, I want to use M.2 2260 and M.2 2242.
Does it work?

Looking forward to a replay. Thanks!

M.2 has three different form factors – 2242, 2260, and 2280. The “22” represents the width in millimeters (mm), while the next two digits represent the length, also in mm, thus they should all work.

Thanks for the reply, Kayccc.

while 2280 is PCIe x4, 2242 is PCIe x2, and 2260 is PCIe x4 (As I know). The Jetpack will support those PCIe lanes natively, not need extra driver or configuration changes. Is it correct?

Many thanks!

We only support the key M slot on jetson NX devkit. And that one is a x4 controller. No extra pcie driver and nvme driver is needed. They are already installed by default.

Sounds good! Thanks for the reply, Wayne.

I’d like to double confirm that “M.2 Key.M 2242 with PCIe x2” can be applied to Xaiver NX, correct?
In other words, the x4 controller is backward compatible with x2.

Many thanks!

Yes, you can use x1 /x2 card on the x4 slot. It will support.

That’s great!
Thank you, Wayne.
