- When will the Nvidia Web Drivers be released for macOS Mojave 10.14 -

Your screen shot is interesting, as ‘very shortly’ should be less than a month or so. I wonder what went wrong.

I do not have a reply from Nvidia yet, but I will post it, if I get an answer to any of my questions. At this time I’m not expecting much at all.

GOT RTX 2070 for gaming on win10 and installed hackintosh few days ago and found out Nvidia Doesnt have drivers for Mojave xD

They were still claiming they were working on it as late as April, see my post with the screenshots:

I read every post since last year when xtrmepcgamer posted this topic on 10/05/2018 08:27 PM , every hope about Webdriver for Mac Os Mojave is killed for me , im with Gtx 1060 and im tired to wait :) Don`t you see they dont care about us ? Even if They Relese the driver we will still have problems like in High Sierra alternative drivers for pascal , for example Dota 2 has extremly glitches and its not run so cool like windows , i know mac is 100 times better but i think Apple wants to hold everything in their hands so they can sell it to Space Cosmic price wich it doesnt worth to buy, Apple is with Amd Now , Accept it and buy Amd Gpu :) here no one cares about you , stop beg :D sorry for my english
Greetings !

JAJAJAJA :D Don’t worry dear mate :) You still can enjoy your amazing games in Windows 10 "“Fail Creatures Updates” (Fall Creators Update), for example I have Windows 10 1903/19H1/May 2019 Update and I didn’t find extreme bugs :)

Maybe the NVIDIA Drivers will be released in macOS 10.15 Catalina for GTX 900, 10, 20 Series and more :)

If you were planning to hackintosh before the GPU purchase, you should have researched which hardware is supported. You could have bought a GTX 1070 Ti which works with macOS High Sierra or an AMD card, if you’re not dependent on CUDA. Previously, the support of 10xx cards with Web Drivers took 9 or 10 months after High Sierra came out. Mojave drivers may eventually arrive.

I researched the GTX-960 compatibility with macOS before purchase, and it has worked ever since El Capitan. No-one foresaw that Apple and NVIDIA would throw us under the bus by withholding drivers.

Yeah, so did I. We have Nvidia 750, 660 Ti and 1060, which all work fine in Sierra or High Sierra. I was replying regarding the RTX 2070, which never worked in High Sierra. Your GTX-960 should still work in High Sierra for one or two years more until applications demand Mojave. About 5 years of compatibility with a hackintosh is not that bad.

Next Year Same Time:

„- When will the Nvidia Web Drivers be released for macOS 10.16 -„

And we will not have any driver for Mojave or Catalina -.-

yeah, October 2019, new topic “When will the Nvidia Web Drivers be released for macOS Catalina 10.15”

So I have a really dumb question.

NVIDIA claims that they have the drivers but Apple won’t “let them” release them. So according to NViDIA, their hands are tied.

So it seems also, that there is no love lost between these two companies.

So what does NVIDIA care about pissing Apple off- which brings me to my question…

Why doesn’t NVIDIA just “accidentally” let the drivers slip out?

Call it an error on the website that is quickly retracted, but just long enough so that the drivers can get out and be shared…

These kinds of mistakes happen all the time and expose the company to no liability whatsoever… It’s the ultimate “Whoops!” to which Apple couldn’t do anything because you couldn’t prove any intent otherwise… And what’s Apple gonna do? Send a Cease and Desist? Ok - who cares? The drivers are already out? What’s done is done… And all NVIDIA would do is just agree to continue doing what they already were… So nothing changes. Except now we have drivers. :)

Apple can’t really stop anyone from developing something for the platform. Not physically anyway… It’s like Trump and the congressional subpeonas… So what… Just ignore them… What are they gonna do? Prevent you from releasing your work? Oh yeah…right… :)

So once they’re out - then they’re out… :). What is anyone gonna do?? Nothing…nothing anyone can do… Except - now we have drivers.

So NVIDIA - why not just go ahead and “Ooopss!” the drivers on out there… Because unless you’re on a path to making amends with Apple, there’s no downside to holding them back…the worst Apple can do is continue to do what they’re already doing. So there’s no downside for you…

Just my two cents…

Nvidia said in February and in April, that they are still working on it. Maybe the quality of the driver is still bad and Nvidia would get a lot of complaints. At this time they can just blame Apple. People have had problems with these drivers even with High Sierra.

Instead of an accidental release, I would prefer a Mojave Web Driver ‘developer release’ of an unsigned ‘alpha’ or ‘beta’ driver, which can be used by people who have disabled driver signing. It would also provide more quality feedback before an official release.

TIP: If you have a problem with Nvidia drivers and you need Nvidia just for CUDA then try RX580 or Vega for display(s) and system stuff, disconnect Nvidia(s) from monitors and leave it to CUDA computing only. Nvidia drivers for macOS is a junk and lead macOS to instability.

MacOS Catalina has been announced, and I have grown tired of waiting to build my Hackintosh.
Nvidia is going to release drivers for Mojave.
I have grown tired of waiting for my drivers and am seriously considering selling my GTX 1060 to switch to AMD. Any news on drivers? Someone from Nvidia staff please give us an update on what is going on there.

NVIDIA don’t read or moderate these forums, and if you contact Customer Service directly, they tell you that Apple has to approve the drivers before they can be released. Apple in turn, publish a small list of cards that are supported on Mojave. I have a metal supported card (GeForce GTX-960) that does exactly as I need on High Sierra. My Mac Pro 2012 runs Mojave, but without the drivers, I have to stick with High Sierra.

Given that, from their behaviour on this, neither company cares about its users, the logical step to take is to abandon both of them. The new Mac Pro uses AMD.

Contact Nvidia Customer Care. Don’t wait for others to do that. Ask them about their progress, refer them to their earlier statements. I did this for a couple of times, don’t understand why I should be the only person asking them.

The “latest” is Catalina, which won’t support any machines before 2013. BTW, you aren’t “the only person talking to NVIDIA” by any means. Many of us are, and I have hit a brick wall, because they keep saying, “Refer to Apple”.

And what happened after “Okay, sure”?
