Whether the MFA7U10-H0xx AOC supports HDR100

Hi,

I purchased the MFA7U10-H0xx (NDR to HDR) and only later found out that there is also an MFA7U40-H0xx (NDR to HDR100).

Can the MFA7U10-H0xx be used with a host-side ConnectX-6 VPI HDR100 adapter to operate at HDR100 speed?

I would appreciate confirmation that compatibility up to HDR100 is supported.

If it is compatible, I would also like to know whether the link speed is automatically negotiated or if a “width” configuration is required on the switch side.

Hi

Yes — the MFA7U10‑H0xx (NDR->HDR) cable can interoperate with a ConnectX‑6 HDR100 adapter, and the link can operate at HDR100 speed.

  • HDR100 is a reduced‑width mode of HDR (2 lanes instead of 4), so the link is backward-compatible.

  • The cable itself supports HDR signaling, which HDR100 relies on.

Thanks,

Suo
