Would it be possible the enable fan control in nv-control >1.29 (linux) for gtx 750 ti?

Since my gtx 750 ti (palit, stromx dual) wouldn’t fit into the case, I had to mod it a bit, and use a different fan. Unfortunately, it has a higher starting voltage than the stock fan, which requires manual speed control. Works great under windows, but I really miss this option under linux, using ubuntu 14.04 x64, driver 340.29, nv-control 1.29.

If you want to enable manual GPU fan controls, you need to set Option “Coolbits” “12”.

Super thanks, it works! Is there also a command to set the fan speed, which could be invoked in a script ?

I found a nice script setting the fan speed, yet somehow it always resets to the minimum threshold (30%). How can I stop auto regulation from interfering with the script ?
