Asset Packs load into Isaac Sim with Materials Errors?

Detailed Description

(Describe the issue in detail, including what you were trying to do, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened)

I tried downloading the data center asset pack from here: Downloadable Asset Packs — Omniverse USD and loading it into isaac sim. When trying to import the usd into the scene through the content panel in the GUI, I get many errors and my asset loads colored bright red.

I have attached the error messages below. It looks like we are unable to load the materials properly. Is this due to some version issue? The data center assets are not in the isaac sim assets panel, so I am not sure how to get them into isaac sim otherwise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@hans49 i have experienced this as well. based on what i’ve seen, a lot of the materials sourced in the data center asset pack are using MDLs that either no longer exist, used slightly different version, or pathed incorrectly (as well as textures). there was an old post from about a year ago where it’s mentioned a few steps to point to locally downloaded assets:

however, i was not able to locate all of the assets from the get-go. in rare occasions where i did find the assets, i had to either repath it manually or via the USD Paths Tools > USD > USD Paths (here’s a short tutorial if you find yourself in the similar situations - USD Paths — Omniverse Extensions). maybe the mods/devs can offer some additional insight.

Thanks for this post, and thank you for bringing attention to this asset. Yes, it looks like for some reason one of the textures packs that this relies on, is missing. That would be the issue. We are fixing it now. If you have your Nucleus Workstation set up, you can also directly download it from “/NVIDIA/Assets/DigitalTwin/Assets/Datacenter”
