Automatic login without a password

Hi,

I have an Nvidia NX that I am able to connect only via ssh.
When I flashed it and configured it through the HDMI port with mouse and keyboard I didn’t enable the automatic login to the Nvidia user.

My NX goes to sleep mode after approximately 5 minutes when it’s waiting for me to enter the password on the login page.
My workaround is to write an “0” to the /sys/class/graphics/fb0/blank file.

I wanted to ask if there is a way to allow an Automatic login without a password only via ssh (I know there is an option to open the system setting → users but I can’t)

Please check below thread to see if can help:

Hey kayccc,

The answer there is: “Hi Wilhem, from the Unity launcher, run the “User Accounts” app, then click the “Unlock” button in the top right of the window and enter your sudo password, and then you can enable/disable Automatic Login for your account.”

But I can’t open the Unity launcher on my NX. Are you familiar with another way to allow this ?

Hi,
This would need other users to share experience. We use the GUI of system setting to set to the mode since it is convenient. Don’t know how to set up this through command line.
