Topic Description
Detailed Description
I created a USD scene containing vegetation, to multiply the vegetation programatically I am using Point Instancer. As vegetation assets I am using the Isaac-SIM Library trees.
Now I am adding 3D bounding boxes, but Isaac-SIM crashes every time I activate BoundingBox3D>Show Window.
I have the same problem with both Isaac-SIM2023 and Isaac-SIM4.5
I noticed that this problem occurs when the asset itself also uses PointInstancer to create the branches and leaves in the tree, so it seems to be a problem with nested PointInstancer
Steps to Reproduce
- Take a tree from Isaac-SIM Library (for instance Black_Oak) as Prototype, and then use PointInstancer to add multiple times the tree to the scene
- Enable “BoundingBox3D” and “Show Window”
- Check your console. Isaac-SIM should have crashed by now with code 127
