Hi,

Is there a way to map or relate the Camera Model Name with the camera sensor revision number reported by nvsipl_camera sample application provided by NVIDIA?

I am using multiple Sony IMX390 sensors and I want to know which camera unit corresponds to a specific camera model name listed in this link: https://developer.nvidia.com/drive/ecosystem-hw-sw

I need to know which camera models do I have because NVIDIA announces that some specific camera modules will be deprecated in further DRIVE OS versions.

NVIDIA’s support for cameras above will end of life (EOL) at DRIVE OS 5.2.6, DriveWorks 4.0, and DRIVE Software 11.0; except for Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM5 which will EOL at DRIVE OS 5.2.3 and DriveWorks 3.5, and be replaced with IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM7.

Below is the output that shows the revision number of one of my cameras that is failing:

./nvsipl_camera -c IMX390RGGBE3_200FOV_RGGB_CPHY_x2 --showfps --enableRawOutput --runfor 10 --link-enable-masks "0x0001 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000"
MAX96712: Revision 2 detected
MAX96712 Rev 2: Link 0: Tx amplitude 0x28, 0x68, 0xb3, 0x72, 0xd2
MAX96712 Rev 2 manual adaptation on the link 0 (31)
MAX9295: Revision 8 detected!
Unsupported IMX390 revision 6 detected! Supported revisions are:
IMX390 Rev 0
IMX390 Rev 1
IMX390 Rev 2
IMX390 Rev 3

I am not sure if that error message is due to a deprecated camera module name.

Also, I want to know if the Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM1, Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM2, Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM3, Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM4, and Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM5 camera modules will be completely unsupported in further DRIVE OS versions, or we can contact Sony for a driver for these cameras for a specific DRIVE OS version?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best regards,
-Daniel

Dear @dgarba ,
Could you check IMX390 Rev 6 - #10 by VickNV

Dear @SivaRamaKrishnaNV,

I have already checked this post. Nevertheless, is not exactly the same I am asking in my post.

I still have the question on how to map or relate the reported revision number (IMX390 Rev 0, IMX390 Rev 1, IMX390 Rev 2, IMX390 Rev 3) with the respective camera model name (IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM1, Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM2, Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM3, Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM4, Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM5, Sony IMX390EVB-MLH-SMM7).

Best regards,
-Daniel

Hi @dgarba ,

I don’t know if there is any mapping in between the modules and revisions.
Could you check this with Sony? I believe they will give you a better answer on this. Thanks.

Hi @dgarba ,

I heard Sony have helped you to tell the modules by labels.
Could you confirm? Thanks.

Hi @VickNV,

That is correct. I received help from Sony and our direct NVIDIA contact.

Thanks!
