Hello all,
Firstly I’d like to thank the NVIDIA developers for their great products.
My first post is going to be a request for help. I’ve been using Fedora (38) for a while on my Lenovo P1 Gen5 laptop. Unfortunately there seems to be an issue when the computer goes into suspension mode, whether it be by activated by me manually or through inactivity. The issue is that the computer crashes with the following message on the display and the hardware starts running on full power because the fans start blowing as if an airplane is taking off.
This is the output from ‘uname -a’:
Linux fedora.fritz.box 6.3.12-200.fc38.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Jul 6 04:05:18 UTC 2023 x86_64 GNU/Linux
And this is the output of “lspci -k | grep -EA3 ‘VGA|3D|Display’”:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Alder Lake-P Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c)
Subsystem: Lenovo Device 22f8
Kernel driver in use: i915
Kernel modules: i915

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GA107GLM [RTX A1000 Laptop GPU] (rev a1)
Subsystem: Lenovo Device 22f8
Kernel driver in use: nvidia
Kernel modules: nouveau, nvidia_drm, nvidia
Can anyone help?
Thanks very much in advance.
Hristo
