"Developing an Omniverse Kit-Based Application" Technical Issue

Hey NVIDIA Community,

I am a computing student enrolled in the “Developing an Omniverse Kit-Based Application” course, and I am experiencing some challenges technically that are avoiding my course continuation.

As I want to run and launch the Omniverse Platform via VS CODE, it keeps spamming such red lines, which I am not sure of the reasoning behind this. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well the reason for that is that you do not have the right Nvidia RTX GPU or not the right drivers. That big black window and “RTX LOADING” means it cannot start the software. What GPU and what driver version? You will need at minimum an Nvidia RTX 3080. Check the requirements here and the drivers Technical Requirements — Omniverse USD Composer
