Hi,
In the AGX Orin Eval Board, the “DP2_AUX_CH_P_I2C6_CLK” and “DP2_AUX_CH_N_I2C6_DAT“ signals having options to connect either with AUX2B_P & N or with AUX2A_P & N which is having AC coupling capacitors.
My query is, is there any use of having AC coupling capacitors for these differential lines or we can bypass the IC U68? in our case IFPA_HPD_FLT is already 1.8V.
- which by default channel of U68 is being used for DP application, AUX2B_P&N or AUX2A_P&N ?
U68 allows for Dual-Mode DisplayPort (DP++) for either DP or HDMI output as selected by the MODE pin on the DP connector. In the default DisplayPort mode, U68 uses AUX2A with the required AC coupling for DP AUX functionality. If MODE selects HDMI, U68 instead uses AUX2B as I2C for HDMI DDC functionality.
If your carrier has DisplayPort and doesn’t support DP++, you don’t need U68 and can follow the connection examples for DP in the Jetson AGX Orin Series Design Guide (including AGX Orin Industrial).
