Main Issue: Unable to find the Virtual LHC Simulation in any Library accessible using Omniverse. Would like to add the simulation to my local library and run it whenever learning about different parts and aspects of the Large Hadron Collider. Any information regarding how to find and run the simulation would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I am not sure I follow. You are looking for your own simulation file that you made, or this is some kind of online demo you have seen? We do not have such a file.

Hi Richard,
After watching YouTube podcast by “Two Bit di Vinci” on the inner workings of the CERN Large Hadron Colider (LHC), I asked Mircosoft’s AI Copilot if there are any 3D simulations of the LHC that depict its inner workings. Copilot came back with the answer… YES. And it directed me to something called the “VIRTUAL LHC SIMULATION.” It indicated that I needed Omniverse installed on my laptop and that my laptop needs a NVIDIA GeoForce RTX GPS (which mine has 3060). In addition, Copilot informed me that I could download the simulation file from the NUCLEUS WORKSTATION LIBRARY.

After installing all the recommended Omniverse developer tools needed to run the simulation and find it in the Library I discovered that the file was nowhere to be found. Ergo, my inquiry. I’m hoping to find someone who might be familiar with the simulation and could provide me with further information regarding how to go about finding and installing it on my laptop.

The closest I’ve come is to locate a video recording of a presentation on the topic of creating a “digital twin” of the LHC. There was no other information available. Consequently, I sent an e-mail the CERN Press Office requesting any information that might be available on the simulation. I have yet to hear back.

Hope this explanation clears up any confusion regarding what I’m attempting to do. If I can’t find the file and run it, I’ll end up uninstalling all of the NVIDIA related apps that are supposedly required to run it.

Best regards,
Jay

Uninstalling all the apps? No don’t do that LOL. Stay and enjoy it. You, I assume are in the engineering or scientific realm. Omniverse is perfect for you. If you can’t find that one file there is no need to leave.
