When I look at the drivers available for my new Quadro FX 1700 card the latest is 162.65 . I can’t make this work with CUDA 1.1. Should I try the 169 Driver even though my card isn’t listed as a supported product? Will I destroy my Solidworks performance if I upgrade to 169? (Yes- I use 3D CAD and program)
I’d suggest you try it. The 169.21 GeForce driver for WinXP does have the FX1700 device ID. You’ll also notice that for Linux, the FX1700 is already on a 169.xx driver. Can’t say for sure about your CAD app, but it might actually do better.
