How To trigger GMSL cameras when the mechanical LIDAR angle phase be in the middel of the Camera FOV?
Dear @mohamed.ezzat,
triggering of camera can not be controlled from outside.
SoC generates a TSC_EDGE_OUT signal on a GPIO pin that is connected to all deserializers. This common PWM signal is then forwarded to all 16 GMSL cameras to achieve frame synchronization.
Is your use case need to sync lidar and camera data? Could you share more details about your use case for better suggestions.
I have one mechanical LIDAR cover 360 horizontal FOV and 6 surrounding Cameras share the same FOV with the LIDAR.
My target is not to trigger all cameras at the same timestamp instead I want to trigger each camera based on the camera mounting position.
As shown in the image I want to trigger the camera when the lidar scanner is in the direction of the camera view.
I’m also looking to get this exact scenario working. Very excited to see if there is a proper solution or if we will have to try to make some kind of weird hack in the drive os platform again.
There is no update from you for a period, assuming this is not an issue anymore.
Hence, we are closing this topic. If need further support, please open a new one.
Thanks
Dear @mohamed.ezzat,
Does that mean, you want to sync the lidar with camera which is the scanner direction?
