Graphic Card not working in a computer

I’ve been using my computer with an AMD Radeon HD 7750 graphics card, and it has been running smoothly. However, recently, when I turned on the computer, the screen stayed black and there was no display.

I checked all the connections inside the case, and everything seemed to be securely plugged in. Then, I tried connecting the monitor to the onboard graphics of the motherboard, and the computer booted up fine, but of course, without utilizing the Radeon HD 7750.

Suspecting that the graphics card might be faulty, I took it out and tested it in a friend’s computer. To my surprise, the Radeon HD 7750 worked perfectly fine on their machine, displaying everything as it should.

Given this situation, what could be the possible issue with my setup? Are there any additional details needed to diagnose the problem? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello,

Welcome to the NVIDIA Developer forums. You should look to the AMD forums for support, this community only serves NVIDIA related issues.

might want to check the SystemBIOS settings, often there is an option to prefer the PCIe add-in GPU over the CPU-integrated GPU. If you want the boot screen, and then the (only) OS screen to use the add-in GPU, that SBIOS setting needs to be set to prefer the add-in, set to ignore the integrated GPU…
