(Disclaimer: I am VERY VERY new to nvidia development) This Jetson Xavier AGX was a gift to me from a family members company who no longer needed it, this said i have absolutely no clue whats on it or if there is anything on it. I have tried 4 different usb-c cables i am using ubuntu 18.04 with the nvidia SDK manager to (try) and flash this thing. It has adequate power, the SDK manager keeps saying the board isnt in recovery mode, I have put it in recovery mode and it still throws that error. I need this running fairly quickly so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
How do you put the device into recovery mode? Please provide a detailed explanation.
Could you also share the error with us?
Refer to this documentation to verify if the AGX is in recovery mode.
Thanks
The error its throwing is “The Xavier is in a bad state” and when i plug it in it says “SDK manager has discovered a developer device that is in recovery mode”. Please trust me when i say it is in recovery mode.
I see. I have a few questions for further clarification:
- Is your Ubuntu running on a physical machine or a virtual machine (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox, WSL)?
- Do you know if your AGX Xavier is a developer kit or a custom board?
Please share the log from the SDK Manager by clicking EXPORT LOGS as shown in the image.
You could also capture the UART log during the device flashing process.
My Ubuntu device is physical, I have no clue whether or not its a dev or custom board but it does not have a usb-c connector above the barrel jack ill export the logs when i get home.
It might not be a dev kit; please refer to the AGX Xavier-INCLUDED IN THE BOX to verify.
If your AGX Xavier is a custom board, we recommend contacting the vendor for a customized BSP, as our SDK Manager only supports dev kits.
Thanks
Any idea how I can find the vendor?
Thomas
You may need to contact the vendor from whom you purchased your AGX Xavier.
Thanks
