Hello,
I am trying to flash a Jetson AGX Xavier with Jetpack 4.6. During the flashing process the sdk manager gives a feedback that the Jetson is not in force recovery mode even though it’s correctly detected and the procedure to put it in force recovery has been followed (tried multiple times). Also, no output is given through the hdmi port at any time (no nvidia logo, no wizard to set username and password…).
What can be the issue and what solutions could exist?

If you want to share any log, share the whole log instead of partial log and attach it as a text file.
For sdkmanager, click the “export logs” button on the sdkmanager gui and attach the zip file.

The txt file you attached said your board is not in recovery mode at all. Or you didn’t plug the correct usb port.
Yes, but I followed the procedure and can see the jetson using lsusb

Which port is in use to flash? Are you sure you use the correct type C?
Use this USB-C.

- Hold the recovery button
- Hold the power button
- Release both buttons

I used the USB type C port on the same side as the micro USB and power LED

Please do not release both buttons. Just release the power button first and then the recovery button.

I tried that with the same result.
Do you have other usb cable and host to test? or even other jetson AGX devkit to test? If more than one jetson cannot get flashed with this host/cable, then it is mostly likely due to the host/usb cable.
Not able to flash board is pure hardware problem, nothing from software side can configure/fix this.

We’ll try with an other cable. Unfortunately we do not have a second Nvidia Jetson AGX Xavier Developper Kit, although we would be happy to.
If it actyally is a pure hardware problem, what are our options moving forwards ?
Is your host machine a ubuntu from VM?
We tried both with the same results.

VM and dualboot
