Help installing MPICH

Hello: My name is Patti and I am trying to compile a fortran program using the test version of PGI Fortran under openSuSE 10.2 (I haven’t used fortran before, but it’s required to compile this program) I need to use mpif77 and mpif99 to use the program’s parallel capabilities. Can someone please give me some guidance on how to install PGI and MPICH2 so that MPI recognizes PGIF?

Thank You Very Much!!!

Hi Patti,

You can download PGI CDK and install MPICH2. Currently we have 7.0 version for download. PGI CDK 7.1 will be released in a week or so.

If you wish to compile your own MPICH2, please look at our Tips & Techniques on how to do it.
