Main Issue:
See, this is a Revit file that is exported to USDZ with the SimLab usdz exporter plugin:
How can I make that large green grass field to be smooth?
@pekka3 upon inspecting the floor prim, 90% of the polygons that make up this mesh are not welded to adjacent faces. my experience is to fix it by welding verts in DCCs but would be good to know if this is even possible in kit.
Ooh - it must be this!
So the official Revit sample file has this kind of flaw. Very good that you and Richard help to see the true origin of the issue and find a solution for it.
I will write to Revit support about this, and ask for instructions to weld the vertices in Revit.I bet there is no such modeling tools in kit..
Revit website chatbot.
In Revit, you cannot directly weld vertices together like in some other 3D modeling software. Revit focuses more on architectural design and collaboration features rather than detailed vertex manipulation. If you need to create a connection between elements, you would typically use tools like “Join Geometry” to connect walls, floors, or other elements seamlessly. This approach ensures accurate modeling and coordination within the project.
