How to change units of the grid from centimeters to meters?

I am new to Isaac Sim, so this might be a very trivial question. I am loading a USD file, for some reason it has units in centimeters, so the grid cells in the viewport are very small, and uncomfortable to work with. How can I change the units to meters and make my grid cells larger

I did try to use Grid menu to change the grid settings (as in the screenshot above), but none of these options have any effect, maybe it’s a bug in Isaac Sim 4

For reference: I’m using Isaac Sim 4.0.0 on Ubuntu 22 PC.

You are looking at two different things. First is the Grid and second is the scene’s units.

I’m seeing the same thing as you that the grid does not change in size in Isaac Sim 4.0 when I change the setting so I’ll report that as a bug.

To change the scene’s units you can go to the layer tab, select the root layer and open the “property” tab. Find the “Meters Per Unit” property and set it to 1 for meters, 0.01 for cm, 0.0254 for in etc.

The grid not changing is a known issue and should be fixed in Isaac Sim 4.1
