As I got a new camera AR0820 which supports USB3.0, and I enter /usr/local/driveworks-0.3/bin/ to run sample_camera_usb to test the new camera. As the default parameter device=0, when I run ./sample_camera_usb, it can boot up my PC camera, it works well. When I test the usb camera, run ./sample_camera_usb --device=1, the camera boot up and image display, but the image was full green, can just see the object outline. So what are the possible reasons? What can I change about the source codes for testing?
Thanks very much!
Dear yxiang,
The DW version you are using is more than year old. If possible, please consider upgrade to latest Drive version via SDK manager(https://developer.nvidia.com/drive/downloads) and test the same.
Can you attach the output image for reference? ./sample_camera_usb, it can boot up my PC camera, it works well.
Does that mean, you have connected your Desktop PC camera to board and able to view the image without any issue? But when you use run the same camera with --device=1 parameter, you notice green color. Is that right?
Dear yxiang,
I had checked with our internal team on this. Our last release for Drive PX2 platform is Drive 1.0 which has DW 1.2. This version did not include support for AR0820 GSML. All our Drive releases are targeted towards Drive AGX platform now.
We have added support for AR0820 in next release of Drive software( for Drive AGX platform). If possible, considering upgrade to Drive AGX platform to get latest Drive software.
OK, very thanks!
You said Drive AGX platform, so xavier can support? The latest Drive software on Drive AGX platfrom can support AR0820, right?
Another question, is GMSL2 supported in the latest version?
Thanks
I go to the page https://developer.nvidia.com/drive/downloads tried to download the latest SDK. When I run adkmanager and tried to login my account to install through DEVZONE, but my account can not login success. And for the offline install, I can not find where to download the SDKs.
Thanks
I have checked several times.
On the download page, it says Requires membership to the NVIDIA DRIVE™ Early Access Developer Program, and I click it, and now on the approval page, the status is “Approval pending”. Is this the reason? Membership is required and I am not membership.
We also have a Drive AGX xavier platform and install DRIVE OS 5.0.13.0 Linux on it. I search in the installed folder, the file DrivePDK/drive-t186ref-qnx/lib-target/nvcs/tests/README.txt, it says “add AR0820 to the special sensor list, which avoiding the EP linearity test”, can also see the attached picture. Do it mean that this version support AR0820? But I can not find anything related to AR0820.
I have successfully installed the latest SDK drive version DRIVE OS 5.1.3.0 Linux on my PC. I run ./sample_camera_usb --device=1, the image still full green.
And I run ./sample_sensors_info to check the supported sensors,the camera-type list as “camera.gmsl ? camera-type={ar0231-rccb-bae-sf3324, ar0231-rccb-bae-sf3325, ar0144-cccc-none-gazet1}”, my AR0820 is not in the list.
And in the installed SDK folder ~/nvidia/nvidia_sdk/DRIVE/Linux/5.0.13.2/SW/DriveSDK/drive-t186ref-linux/samples/nvmedia/ext_dev_prgm/drv, I can not see AR0820 yet. So how can I access the camera AR0820?
Thanks very much!
Dear yxiang,
Just to clarify, the latest Drive release has Drive 5.0.13 and not Drive 5.1.3. You need to wait till next release. We will update you on the next release soon.
