Install Jetpack without Xavier development kit

I’d like to install Jetpack 4.1.1 onto an Ubuntu 18.04 64-bit PC (or VM) but I don’t have access to an Xavier that I can connect to the PC.

I’d like to get the cross compiling toolchain onto my development machines to build applications for Xavier.

Is it possible to install Jetpack without an Xavier dev kit?

Hi jeremy.pallotta, yes you can use JetPack to install the host PC tools even though you don’t have a physical Jetson device. The host-side packages get installed first, before the Jetson is flashed and configured. So you can either exit JetPack when it prompts you to put your Jetson into recovery mode, or you can de-select the target actions from the JetPack Component Manager and it won’t attempt to run those.
