Installation Error on Jetson Xavier NX with JetPack 5.1.3

Hello,

I recently received a new NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX and I am encountering an issue during the initial setup. I followed the instructions to flash JetPack 5.1.3 onto a 256GB microSD card, but upon booting, I receive an error message indicating that the installer encountered an unrecoverable error. Below are the steps I have taken so far:

  1. Formatted the SD card and flashed the JetPack image using Etcher.
  2. Verified the integrity of the downloaded image file.

Despite these steps, I am still encountering the same error. Attached is an image of the error message I receive upon booting.

“The installer encountered an unrecoverable error. A desktop session will now be run so that you may investigate the problem or try installing again.”

Additional Information:
*-Device: NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX

  • -MicroSD Card: 256GB
  • -JetPack Version: 5.1.3

I would appreciate any assistance or recommendations on how to resolve this issue. Has anyone else experienced similar problems, and if so, what steps did you take to fix them?

Try re-flashing with SDK Manager first.
Actually I think you can just ignore it if you don’t experience any issues otherwise.

When I click “ok” to dismiss, the xavier nx just goes black with not display.

Then please re-flash with SDK Manager.
