Is see3cam_cu55 usb camera compatible for AGX Xavier Dev Kit

Hi everyone,

I want to use 4 e-con system see3cam_cu55 usb cameras at the same time on agx xavier dev kit.
If I connect these 4 cameras to AGX Xavier dev kit via a usb hub, can there be any problem? Are them compatible for AGX Xavier Dev Kit?
The other question: Is there any recommended usb hub by nvidia?

Hi,
To utilize all USB ports and get full bandwidth, we suggest connect two cameras to type-A port through hub, one to J512 type-C port, and one to J513 type-C port. If 4 cameras are all connected to the type-A port, running all cameras at maximum resolution may hit bandwidth limitation.

Either USB3 hub should be fine.

Hi DaneLLL,

Thanks for your interest.
Does hitting bandwidth limitation cause any electronical problem on dev kit like burning of device?
Also I need a keyboard and mouse.
And using of non-original components like usb-hub or usb type-c to type-a converter cause any problem?

Hi,
We have seen bandwidth issue on Jetson Nano devkits:
connected more than two usb cameras problem on deepstream-app (Jetson Nano Dev Kit) - #12 by DaneLLL

May hit bandwidth limitation if four cameras require > 5Gbps throughput.

A better solution is to use custom board with all type-A ports. On devkits, it should be fine to use C to A adapter.
