Topic Description

I just installed a fresh installation of issac sim 4.5 using the documentation:

Now, when I open the materials menu:

I get a much narrower version of the 4.2.0 version:

also, I dont have any materials in the isaac sim assets window:

why is this the case? How can I fix this?

@danielle.sisserman you should still have access to materials via the material browser through Window > Browsers > Materials:

i can’t seem to find in the 4.5 changelog about reducing the menu item for materials, but i can confirm my desktop installation reflects what you are seeing on your end. somehow i dont believe it’s a bug, but perhaps the devs thought the options may have been too granular for Isaac Sim and wanted to condense/consolidate the list? i suspect you will find missing entries in kit-app-template/Composer.

since it’s just my speculation, i’ll defer to the devs/mods on providing official insight.
