Issues with USD Export from Blender to Isaac Sim

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently exported a USD file from Blender and encountered a few issues:

  1. Rendering Differences: The rendered output in Blender looks significantly different from the output in Isaac Sim. The quality in Isaac Sim seems much worse, with many visual defects.
  2. Rendering Options: I’ve noticed that Isaac Sim offers several options such as RTX-Real-Time, RTX-Interactive, and various rendering modes and settings. How should I choose among these? I’ve tried a few, but none of them match the quality of Blender’s render; there are still many defects.
  3. Shader Incompatibility: There seems to be a discrepancy between MDL shaders in Isaac Sim and Blender shaders. When importing, they don’t correspond one-to-one. Is this a bug? How can I ensure that the materials remain consistent when importing USD files from Blender?

Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Moreover, the rendering results in Isaac Sim are very unstable. For example, after achieving a stable render with RTX-Interactive, if I switch to RTX-Real-Time and then back to RTX-Interactive, the results are different from the previous RTX-Interactive render. I feel like Isaac Sim has a lot of bugs!
