Losing textures when exporting using alpha blender 4.2

Hello all

I have this model of a wheelloader that I want to export as a USD. Before I was using regular blender and that was able to export textures just fine. It has some quirks that I didn’t like such as all the transformations being a 4x4 matrix rather than translation, rotation, scaling being separate, and not being able to export skeletons. Si I switched to the alpha blender, but I am not able to export textures at all.

Has anyone encountered this issue, or know how to solve it?
I tried most of the setting combinations, such as override textures, export cycles, export mdl etc.
