The provided console log is from a Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit, and it appears to be a boot log. The log shows the system booting up, initializing various components, and loading drivers.

The flashing command used is:

sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh --external-device nvme0n1p1 -p "-c ./bootloader/generic/cfg/flash_t234_qspi.xml" -c ./tools/kernel_flash/flash_l4t_t234_nvme.xml --showlogs --network usb0 jetson-agx-orin-devkit external

This command is used to flash the Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit with a new image. The --external-device option specifies the device to flash, which in this case is an NVMe device (nvme0n1p1). The -p option specifies the configuration file for the bootloader, and the -c option specifies the configuration file for the flash process.

The log shows that the system is booting up, and various components are being initialized, including the CPU, memory, and I/O devices. The log also shows that the system is loading various drivers, including the NVMe driver, the USB driver, and the network driver.

However, the log also shows several error messages, including:

WARNING: clockdisable clkpowerungate on gated domain 34 for dla0core
WARNING: clockdisable clkpowerungate on gated domain 34 for dla1core
WARNING: clockdisable clkpowerungate on gated domain 34 for naflldla0core
WARNING: clockdisable clkpowerungate on gated domain 34 for naflldla1core

These error messages indicate that there are issues with the clock and power management on the system.

Additionally, the log shows that there are several modules that are disagreeing about the version of the modulelayout symbol, including:

r8168 disagrees about version of symbol modulelayout
phytegra194p2u disagrees about version of symbol modulelayout
pcietegra194 disagrees about version of symbol modulelayout
nvmecore disagrees about version of symbol modulelayout

This could indicate that there are compatibility issues between the kernel and the modules.

Finally, the log shows that the system is unable to find a UDC device, and that there is a connection timeout:

No known UDC device found
Connection timeout device devnvme0n1 is still not ready

This could indicate that there are issues with the NVMe device or the connection to it.

Overall, the log suggests that there are several issues with the system, including clock and power management issues, compatibility issues between the kernel and modules, and issues with the NVMe device. These issues may need to be addressed in order to successfully flash the system.

In comparison to the other flashing commands provided, this command is similar to the one used for the Jetson AGX Orin series with NVMe as the rootfs storage:

sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh --external-device nvme0n1p1 -u <pkc_keyfile> [-v <sbk_keyfile>] --uefi-keys uefi_keys/uefi_keys.conf -p "-c ./bootloader/generic/cfg/flash_t234_qspi.xml" -c ./tools/kernel_flash/flash_l4t_t234_nvme.xml --showlogs --network usb0 jetson-agx-orin-devkit external

However, this command includes additional options, such as the -u and -v options, which specify the PKC and SBK key files, respectively. The --uefi-keys option specifies the UEFI key file.

In contrast, the flashing command for the Jetson AGX Orin series with eMMC as the rootfs storage is:

sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh -u <pkc_keyfile> [-v <sbk_keyfile>] --uefi-keys uefi_keys/uefi_keys.conf jetson-agx-orin-devkit internal

This command is simpler and does not include the --external-device option, as eMMC is the default storage device for this system.

Hi,

Some questions to confirm:

  • Are you using a developer kit or a custom board for your AGX Orin?
  • Does your AGX Orin have an NVMe drive installed?

Thanks

Hi,

I use AGX Orin Developer Kit 64G, and it has 1T NVMe. It can flash sucess to nvme using JetPack_6.2.1. But the command can not flash success.

Hi,

How did you flash it successfully? Did you flash it successfully using SDK Manager?

What’s JetPack version you are using?

Thanks

The sdkmanager version is 2.4.0.13235, select storage device is nvme, it can flash to nvme ssd success.

But I use the below command it can not flash success. The log to see comment 1#

sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh --external-device nvme0n1p1 -p “-c ./bootloader/generic/cfg/flash_t234_qspi.xml” -c ./tools/kernel_flash/flash_l4t_t234_nvme.xml --showlogs --network usb0 jetson-agx-orin-devkit internal

Hi,

Please try below commands as developer guide show

sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh --external-device nvme0n1p1 \
  -c tools/kernel_flash/flash_l4t_t234_nvme.xml \
  --showlogs --network usb0 jetson-agx-orin-devkit external

Thanks
