Jetson AGX Xavier 4 CSI RAW Input From FPGA

Hi there!

I’m trying to use 4 RAW camera (or 4 - 2x CSI lanes) data input from FPGA to Jetson AGX Xavier.
I’ve used Jetson AGX Xavier MIPI CSI-2 without I2C from FPGA this topic to create my own non-I2C driver on L4T35.4.1. But there are some things that I didn’t understand.

In the Camera Development page on Wiki page, it is mentioned there are multiple CSI port index that I can select. But, I didn’t understand how to assign to device tree file. My design has 4 CSI line that configured as 2x bus width.

Can you help me to configure the CSI lines? I want to use a single line for data in, a single line for data out for each camera.

I mentioned it wrong, sorry. I’m trying to simulate 4 camera array from FPGA. FPGA is gonna generate MIPI CSI-2 x2 data. The problem is, I can’t undrerstand how to define ports and lanes in the device tree. There is a schematic of my MIPI CSI-2 connector on the topic.

Actually, we don’t need a CSI output. We are simply sending data from FPGA to Xavier AGX. So, it means we can modify the tree like this, right?

Looks like your understand is incorrect.
The CSI/VI is bounding the port-index is like I said.

CSI output means output to VI like

FPGA → CSI → VI → MEM

I’ve made some changes in device tree. Our team has 4 camera array from e-con Systems. I checked it’s source files and changed my own device tree file accordingly. Dmesg output looks a lot better. But, it still not giving any output. So, I boosted clocks and traced the tegra_channel.

Hello there!

We decided to use PCI-Express x16 slot. Our FPGA carrier board supports 12V power supply from PCIe slot. But the problem is, there is no output from the Jetson Xavier board. Can Xavier AGX supply 12V from it’s PCIe port? Do I need to modify kernel to fix the issue? Or is there a software control for supplies?

NOTE: We are using Jetpack 5.1.2 version from SDKManager.
