Jetson AI Courses and Certifications

Hi, I’m thinking of following the certification course for the Jetson in the requirements it says to buy a camera among those recommended which one do you recommend?

Hardware Requirements

  • NVIDIA Jetson Nano™ Developer Kit or Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit*
  • MicroSD card (64 GB UHS-1 recommended, 32 GB UHS-1 minimum)
  • Micro-B USB cable
  • Power supply
  • Camera (Logitech C270 USB webcam or Raspberry Pi camera module v2)
  • PC or laptop with an SD card slot (Windows, Mac, or Linux)
  • Recommended : NVIDIA JetBot

*Any Jetson can be used to complete the course (except Jetson TK1).

Finally, it is written that you can use any card except the TK1. I will use the nvidia Xavier NX.

Hi @saromano, yep you can use the Xavier NX. The JetBot isn’t setup for powering Xavier NX but you needn’t build a JetBot to get the certification. Or with a bit of tinkering and changing out the battery, you may be able to build an NX-powered JetBot (if that’s something you’re interested in)

Regarding the camera, I use both from time to time. I also use the Logitech C920. It is up to you which one you may like better. The Logitech USB cameras have a longer cord and have little integrated mounts on them, which makes them easier to orient. The RPI v2 MIPI CSI camera you could use on JetBot if you were building one.
