i have jetson xaiver nx devloper kit model p3518. i am trying to flash jetpack on its sd card using sdkmanager .the host machine is 16.04 ubuntu .but following is showing up
even when i put lsusb in terminal it is not showing up .
i have put it in force recovery mode as told but still it is not working
if lsusb does not show anything related to NVIDIA corp, then the board is not in recovery or your cable has problem.
Or when using a VM this also happens when USB does not correctly pass through.
i am not using VM . it is dual boot system
what type of cable do i need to use
micro usb cable with data lines. Some cheap cable does not have data line…
i followed the recovery mode procedure as :
put jumper on pin 9 and 10 .
connect through micro usb b to host pc.
power on the jetson board.
and i was following dmesg ,nothing showed up there.i also changed my usb cable still same result.
i tried using ftdi .the ftdi connector is being detected by host pc .
i want to flash my xavier nx using sdk manager but board is not detected and i don’t know how to use ftdi for that purpose.
would you suggest any way to connect host pc with jetson or any other way to flash the sd card of jetson nx
Could you take a photo of this?
Why this picture looks like you connect on pin 10 and 11…
both pin 9 and 11 are GND . I thought we needed to sort GND and FC REC to put nx in recovery mode . but I have tried on pin 9 also for both board was not detected.
also can you please tell if using pin 11 instead of 9 is ok or not ?
Could you check the “dmesg” on your host PC and see if it got anything new printed when you connect the micro usb cable from jetson to it?
BTW, one dumb question. Did you remember to connect power jack when you try to flash the board…
the terminal in the below is dmesg --follow .
above is lsusb .
both had no new addition on plugging nx
also, i don’t know if this is important but the fan is switching on when power jack is plugged.yes i did plug the power jack
Do you have other Xavier NX platform there that can cross check whether all these cables are fine?
I don’t see any problem with these photos.
The fan spins is a little weird as this should not happen. More like a power up behavior to me but not a behavior to enter recovery mode.
would you please elaborate what other xavier nx platform are there ?
…No, I mean do you have other Xavier NX devkit on your side that can check this issue.
no,i do not have other devkit
Then nothing we can suggest. Cannot enter recovery mode is pure hardware event.
Please RMA this board.
