Jetson Nano B01 Dev Kit - Power and Relative Ubuntu/Ros Versions

Hi, I am building a mobile robot using the Jetson Nano - B01 Dev Kit.
Setting up Jetson Nano:
Battery Power:
I want to power the jetson nano via Dc barrel Jack connector with a 7.4V 1000mAh Lipo battery through a DC/DC buck converter (Specs: 0-5A continuous current, 8A max). Is this sufficient/ would I need a battery capable of delivering more Amps per hour, like a 4000mAh minimum ?(as it needs a dedicated 5V,4A supply on DC Jack)
Ubuntu on computer: In order to flash Jetpack SDK - I got a 128Gb UHS-1 Micro SD
card and currently have the newest UBuntu installed on my Lenovo laptop. Should I install Ubuntu 18.04 if I want to flash jetpack on jetson - and what ROS1/2 version does this jetson nano support.

For battery, you can refer to the user guide: Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit User Guide | NVIDIA Developer

For ROS, you can check GitHub - dusty-nv/ros_deep_learning: Deep learning inference nodes for ROS / ROS2 with support for NVIDIA Jetson and TensorRT

Thank you very much

I Have the NVIDIA Jetson Nano 4GB DDR4 Development Kit (New rev B01).

Regarding the Ubuntu I must have installed in my laptop. Must I switch to 18.04 Ubuntu, because I have the newest Ubuntu 24.04 LTS in order to flash the Jetson or is this not necessary?

Can you please give me suggestions on batteries and regulators/buck converters to use for supplying the DC barrel Jack on Jetson Nano 4GB.

Kind Regards.

Suggest to use Ubuntu 18.04 as host OS for Jetson Nano development.

Regarding the power source, please check:

Thank you for your response, I understand that there are ideal power supplies but in order for my project to work, I need a portable DC-DC battery supply, considering this, would I need to use a battery that must deliver 4A and what are recommended batteries or regulators or buck converters I could use. This would help me greatly.

Kind Regards.

We don’t have such recommendation. You can check with the vendors in ecosystem. Jetson Ecosystem | NVIDIA Developer

All good , thank you
