Jetson nano no longer boots

I’m having trouble booting a jetson nano on an sd-card that previously worked, I briefly get a splash screen and the green power LED but then the power LED turns off when I reach the end of the serial log. I get the following from the serial console:

I do not know what is wrong, I was recently working with a CSI camera, but I’ve removed it so that now I just have serial, power and HDMI connected.

hello dtmoodie,

according to those logs, you have boot into linux kernel and it shows the failure from the display side.
could you please change another display monitor, or, removing everything for testing again,
thanks

Hello, Thank you for your reply.
I have tried two different displays that have worked with this nano before and currently work with other computers. I do not believe it is the display that is an issue. Furthermore, I do see the nvidia splash screen momentarily.

Is that monitor purely HDMI? FYI, the logo will show up even on unsupported monitors since it simply displays at a basic setting when power first turns on. Display later on depends on the monitor replying with its “EDID” information (which occurs in the DDC wire of the HDMI cable using an i2c protocol). Once the Linux kernel loads it never even gets to the EDID query due to some “more serious” error. Since the monitor will only work later on in boot if it provides a proper EDID, then it is valid to try to swap it with another purely HDMI monitor to see if boot gets further…then you’ll know if the physical interface failing tracks the monitor and cable, or if the issue is in common with the Jetson itself. It doesn’t mean you have to keep using the other monitor, but it is required to know if it is a monitor/cable issue versus a module issue.

Thanks! It I switched HDMI cables and it is working now.
