Hi, I’m a student working on a graduation project using the Jetson Orin Nano.
As part of this project, we received a Jetson Orin Nano board and attempted to install JetPack.
-First Attempt (JetPack 6.2)
I initially installed JetPack 6.2 on the board. After the NVIDIA logo appeared, I saw the message:
“ESC in 5 seconds to skip startup. Press any other key to continue.”
However, the ESC button didn’t work. I suspected a version issue, so I decided to install an earlier version.
-Second Attempt (JetPack 5.1.1 & 5.1.3)
I then tried JetPack 5.1.1, but after the NVIDIA logo, the screen went black, and the cooling fan turned off. Even though the cooling fan stopped, the power indicator light remained on. I also tried JetPack 5.1.3, but the same issue occurred.
-Trying SDK Manager
Since SD card installation methods didn’t work, I attempted to install JetPack using SDK Manager. However, the download wouldn’t start.
So, there are some questions I want to know.
Why didn’t the installation work when I used an SD card? And why cooling fan stopped?
What was the reason SDK Manager couldn’t download because I was running Ubuntu in a virtual machine? If I use a computer with a native Ubuntu OS, will the download work?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
