I am trying to find information for running up to 3 image sensors over the 3 supported 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 interfaces on the TX1.
Our application requires that <=3 cameras connected to the TX1 capture images simultaneously.
Is there a maximum combined resolution that is supported, or is each 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 interface individually capped at a resolution - regardless of the other two 4-lane interfaces?
Is there any other limitation on the maximum supported resolution?
If each lane runs at 1.5gb, 4 lanes would be 1.5gx4/8 = 750MB/s without any overhead, i.e., 20.8FPS for 24MP sensor of 12 bits.
FPS and/or resolution will be lower due to overhead (e.g.,line/frame blanking, lower lane rate due to limitation of sensor, cable, PCB).
E.g., 4 Lane 8MP 12 bit IMX274s from Leopard imaging have been tested at up to 32FPS. One or 3 IMX274s produced similar FPS.
i.e., for 24MP 12 bit sensors, it could run at about 10FPS.
