I would like to ask if NVIDIA AI Workbench supports Windows Server? Currently I’m trying to install AI workbench on Windows Server 2019 but it’s throwing an error saying that my operating system is not currently supported.

Hi - Thanks for posting.

Workbench does not support Windows Server.

Would be interested in your use case though to see if supporting it makes sense.

Sincerely
Tyler

Our company has a GPU workstation server which runs on Windows Server, and we want to test out our GPU performance using the AI workbench, and also to play around with the Nvidia LLM RAG tools as part of our research. It would be appreciated if you guys make Windows Server compatible with the Nvidia workbench tool.

Got it. Thank you for submitting this.

We will investigate.

Hi, so any news for Windows Server 2022 support? I did some upgrade from 2019 to 2022. I manage to installed WSL2 Nvidia-Workbench distro successfully which fixed the issue from the original post. Now there’s a new problem, when clicking either docker or podman it will show an application error. I guess the OS is still unsupported.

Here’s my main log:

Hi Faris

Yes. It is still unsupported. It can be a lot of work to add a new OS like this.

However, from the logs it looks like it got pretty far along, which is exciting!

I see that failure at the Docker step.

We will investigate this a bit but can’t promise we can get it there.

OK?

Tyler
