hello all , i am trying to insatll cuda 5.5 version …just a quick suggeation …
as i alraday have GTX 670 Ti BOOST graphic drivers insatlled…
will both cuda and gtx drivers are compatible together/ can system have both the drivers installed??
please suggeat
The display driver package contains the CUDA driver.
Unless the CUDA Toolkit is brand new and contains a beta driver which is not otherwise released, yet, any higher driver version than the one inside the CUDA Toolkit should be compatible.
Means if you have any CUDA Toolkits installed, you can upgrade your drivers to a newer version from the usual download pages Official Drivers | NVIDIA as well.
If you’re unsure about the supported CUDA version, read through the driver’s release highlight page. For example the 331.65 WHQL driver “Includes support for applications built using CUDA 5.5 or earlier version of the CUDA Toolkit.”
