Nvidia Jetson Orin Nano gmsl2 connector

I am writing to inquire about a connectivity issue we are experiencing with the Zed X Mini camera. Our recent acquisition of the Zed X camera has prompted us to seek a connection with the Nvidia Jetson Orin Nano device. However, we have encountered a compatibility problem with the GMSL2 Capture Card designed for the Zed X, as it is not compatible with the Orin Nano. We have come across some adapters that claim to facilitate the conversion to a 15-22 pin CSI connection using a cable, but we remain uncertain about their effectiveness and suitability for our needs.

In reference to the Zed X Capture Card Datasheet, we have observed that the GMSL2 (MAX96712) Deserializer board is compatible with the Nvidia Jetson Orin Nano. However, we are unsure about the appropriate method of establishing the connection.

Could you kindly provide us with information regarding the compatibility of the Zed X Mini camera and the Nvidia Jetson Orin Nano? Any guidance or documentation you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, we don’t have such compatibility info of 3rd-party device. Maybe you need to check with the vendor of device. For Jetson nano custom design, it should follow the Design Guide. You can find the CSI part in the DG, and you may check with vendor based on that first.
