Nvidia-powerd fails to start on Fedora 36 (510.68.02 driver)

Hi,

The nvidia-powerd service is failing to start on Fedora 36:

  • AMD Renoir iGPU, Nvidia GTX 1650 dGPU
  • PrimaryGPU is disabled

Any tips on how to fix this?

nvidia-powerd is only for rtx3xxx mobile gpus on intel, so just disable and mask the systemd unit.

Thanks @generix , you’re right, I will disable and mask the nvidia-powerd service. Is there any alternative for AMD-based systems?

AFAIK, no. Doesn’t matter in your case, though since your gpu is also not supported by it.
