NVMe M.2 2230 SSD on Custom carrier board using Jetson Orin NX

Hi,

We are currently designing a custom carrier board using the Jetson Orin NX. As there is no eMMC, we are considering deploying an NVMe SSD using PCIe. Is there a reference design for the above mentioned implementation on Jetson Orin Nx that might be helpful?

Orin Nano devkit is the reference design carrier board for Orin NX and Nano.

Thanks but I think I didn’t frame my query correctly. My application prohibits the usage of a NVME SSD through the PCIE connector as how its recommended in the Orin Nano dev kit reference design. The SSD implementation has to be on the custom carrier board like how apple does on their mac books. In this regard, kindly suggest any working/suitable reference design that will enable such an implementation for development of custom carrier board for ORIN NX.

Hi,

Our reference board has key E and key M for M.2 and both of then shall support 2230 if I remember correctly.

If this is still not what you need, then we don’t have any other reference design.
