OmniIsaacGymEnvs problem

I installed the Isaac Sim environment inside Anaconda, but encountered the following issue while executing 9.1. Overview & Getting Started.

  1. First, I ran git clone https://github.com/NVIDIA-Omniverse/OmniIsaacGymEnvs.git to install the files into the Isaac Sim 2023.1.1 version folder.

  2. I set the path to the folder containing setup.py, which is OmniIsaacGymEnvs.

  3. I ran pip install -e ..

  4. It showed that the installation was successful.

  5. I opened VSCode in the Anaconda Isaac Sim environment and executed the example file scripts/random_policy.py, but encountered the following issue:

I found that gym, hydra, and other packages installed via setup.py cannot be found in VSCode. I’m wondering where the problem might be?

Below is where I installed the plugin

Hi @nick222446 - Have you followed the Isaac Sim installation properly mentioned in the doc here?
https://docs.omniverse.nvidia.com/isaacsim/latest/isaac_gym_tutorials/tutorial_gym_isaac_gym.html#getting-started

Yes, I have tried the method provided in that URL.

I used the installation method for Windows, but it doesen’t work.

I confirmed with Dev and she told me to avoid using conda for OIGE. it could be it’s picking up a different python environment in vscode

I tried to execute the instructions from the official website in the original VSCode environment, but it seems that setting the PYTHON_PATH environment variable in the Windows terminal doesn’t work. Could you provide the URL for the official installation video tutorial for OmniIsaacGymEnvs?

Hi @nick222446 - Instructions are provided in the above doc link that I provided. Attaching it again:
