OTA updates have bricked my NX

I haVE A NX with uBUN 18.04 AND THE MOST recent OTA update went to Ununtu 20.04 and left the NX useless. I have reloaded a new JP 4.4 and am using that. I also have a 500GB SSD that had my system on it using Jetson Hacks, but I am giving up on that and just want my NX working again.

Hi,

I am not sure what is going on. Our OTA does not upgrade system to ubuntu 20.04. It is still 18.04 after official OTA.

What was your command to upgrade system?

Thanks for the reply.

Upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04
The Ubuntu Software Updater which I think also handles the OTA Jetson NX system updates showed that Ubuntu 20.04 was available, and it suggested an upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04.

Just to be sure I read the link below by Carlos Eduardo and it appeared that upgrading to 20.04 could be done too.

I upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04 using the Ubuntu Software Updater and followed the suggested steps from the above Medium article and ended up with an NX that would boot, but none of my Jetson software would work at all.

Run Jetson Xavier NX from SSD
I also have a 500GB SSD that I installed using the article from Jetson Hacks to run from SSD.

This too might have complicated this issue too.

Where am I today:
I re-formatted my microSD card and with Etcher loaded the newest JP4.4.1. I am running the NX from this microSD card only and only using the SSD as a backup for my data and projects. I have had to start all over from scratch to rebuild the python on the NX.

Thanks for the reply.
