Phone number verification limit exceeded on build.nvidia.com (India +91) – cannot get API access

Hi NVIDIA Support Team,

I am trying to create a new NVIDIA account for using the AI / NIM APIs on build.nvidia.com, but I am blocked at the phone verification step.

Problem:

  • Whenever I enter my Indian mobile number (+91), I immediately get the error: “This phone number has exceeded limits. Please try a different phone number or try again later.”
  • I see this error even on the first attempt, before receiving any OTP.
  • I have tried multiple valid Indian numbers (all personal numbers), but every time I get the same “exceeded limits” message.
  • Because of this, I cannot complete the phone verification and I cannot generate any API keys.

Context:

  • Country: India (+91)
  • I am an individual developer building AI agents and would like to test NVIDIA’s APIs.
  • I am not using VPN or suspicious tools. I just access build.nvidia.com in a normal browser.
  • The error appears instantly after submitting the phone number.

Request:

  • Please help reset or unlock phone verification for my account so that I can verify my number and use the APIs.
  • If needed, I can provide my account email and exact phone number privately to the support team.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Facing same issue with multiple regions as well i tried japan and US number same response

I also had the same issue and my solution was to just not fill the country box thing

Facing same issue with multiple regions as well i tried US number same response.NO NVIDIA STAFF HAVE REPLIED IN ANY OF THEM. One Canadian thread got marked “resolved” after ~24h, but most people are still stuck with no fix announced. This is terrible for one of the world’s LARGEST companies worth $TRILLIONS.

New tools released when their tool NemoClaw is supposed to run agents 24x7 to identify issues and resolve them. What hope do we have of developing their Hype if a $TRILLION company can’t solve it ???

The screen you’re seeing (phone verification for API key on build.nvidia.com) is required before you can generate the NIM API key that Brev/NemoClaw and other cloud deployments need.

But right now (as of the last few days in March 2026), their verification system is broken. NVIDIA Developer Forums are flooded with identical reports:

Exact same error: “This phone number has exceeded limits”

On first attempt with brand-new real numbers

From US (+1, including people with American numbers), China, India, Canada, UK, Korea, etc.

Specifically when people try to get an API key for NemoClaw/OpenClawGo home and wait for them to get back from celebration vacations. Good luck.

I tried again this evening. It is still not working on some versions of Chrome browser. So, I tried Edge Browser and IT WORKED !!!
