Issue

We have a Drive unit that is no longer booting. It exhibits similar errors as this post but is a different unit

The unit had been working fine inside a vehicle for months but then failed to boot. The board is getting power but the fans don’t spin

What is the best way to efficiently diagnose and repair the unit?

Hi @oshawkat,

Please share the aurix booting log. Can the unit be reflashed successfully?

Hi Vick! The aurix boot log is attached. I will try re-flashing it now with DriveOS 5.2 (same as what was running on it prior to the current boot error)

aurix_boot_log.txt (8.7 KB)

If reflashing doesn’t help, please provide showvoltages output (as Aurix MODMGR_ERROR preventing device boot). Thanks.

I tried re-flashing the device with DriveOS 5.2.0 but it could not complete successfully. The logs are attached:
DRIVE_OS_5.2.0_SDK_Linux_OS.zip (12.9 KB)
sdkm-2021-10-18-15-13-00.log (503.3 KB)

I did a clean build and allowed it to run for ~2 hours. There was a pop-up warning from the SDK that it was taking longer than expected

Then I flashed the Aurix with updated firmware and ran the showvoltages command:

Thanks. We will check with our team and get back to you here.

Please help to provide the information:

  • Date the system was purchased.
  • Did you improve the power delivery for the DDPX after the first system was damaged?

Thanks.

The unit was being powered directly from the power supply included in the Dev kit. This was plugged into an inverter on the vehicle. Inverter specs: 230VAC pure sine inverter, 3000W continuous, 6000W max.

The unit was purchased on 9/24/2020

Hi, @oshawkat

Is this issue still there? Or was already addressed offline by your nvidia representative? Thanks.
