Since upgrading from 535.154.05 to 545.29.06 am can no longer select a refresh rate higher than 60hz on a 144hz monitor when the monitor is set at 3840x2160. Selecting lower resolutions such as 2560x1440 i can still select 144hz.
Monitor: Gigabyte M28U
GPU: Nvidia 1060 6GB
DC: DP 1.4 no DSC
Affected: GNOME Wayland/X11 45.3, Plasma Wayland/X11 5.27.10

This is probably due to the deep color work that was added into 545 as this monitor supports 12bit per channel on Windows. My guess is the driver is advertising 10bit per channel and due to displayport 1.4 bandwidth limitations it’s limiting the refresh rate modes available even though i can only actually use 24bit.
Please also check with the 550 beta driver.
Unfortunately with the 550 driver I hit a different regression such that it completely breaks wayland sessions for me. Such that in GDM (wayland mode) the bg image shows and no UI elements show up. Logging in by guessing (press enter, type password, press enter) there is the gnome UI overlay ontop but I can’t interact with the GNOME session at all.
Checking the journal I get a bunch of spam errors
gnome-shell[980]: Page flip failed: Only single-CRTC updates supported

I could probably force GDM to use X11 by messing with the gdm.conf file in order to check the original regression is resolved.
