I removed as many elements of Omniverse launcher including the Launcher folder and reinstalled Omniverse Launcher. Stills unable to install 5.1 connector.
- Check system requirements: Make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements for the Omniverse 5.1 connector.
- Check network connection: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection, as the Omniverse 5.1 connector requires access to online resources during the installation process.
- Disable firewall: Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your system, as these can sometimes interfere with the installation process.
- Clear cache: Clear the cache of your browser and try downloading the Omniverse 5.1 connector again.
- Try downloading from another source: If the problem persists, try downloading the Omniverse 5.1 connector from another source, such as the official Omniverse website.
if you’re encountering a specific error message, providing that message in your question can help others better understand and assist with your issue.
If the Omniverse Launcher says it’s installed, yet the Connector is not showing up in Unreal 5.1, it’s possible that when it installed it went to the wrong Unreal Engine Plugins folder. I would recommend this:
- Uninstall the Connector, then reinstall
- When you’re reinstalling it, make SURE that the destination folder matches up with the
/Engine/Plugins/Marketplace
folder under your Unreal Engine 5.1 installation (from the Epic Games Launcher)
There are a lot of workarounds too… you can just copy the plugins around to your project or wherever you need them, Unreal Engine is pretty flexible. See this post for more tips for troubleshooting the Unreal Connector installation.
Thank you for your suggestions!
Hello, could you please help. I have the same issue. It did not install to the wrong Unreal Engine Plugins folder. This issue is due to uninstalling Unreal engine, then re-installing Unreal engine. Now the Omniverse connector says installed in Omniverse launcher but it is not, there is no way to install it again from the Omniverse launcher.
Where do you get the plugin ? not from OV launcher it seems.
After a half day or more of pain and trying to hack registry keys and follow instructions etc, …IT IS VERY SIMPLE.
Use the Ominverse cleanup tool.
I would have thought an Nvidia rep would say that first.

You are welcome.
Thank you for the suggestions. I wasn’t aware of the clean-up tool.
I ended up uninstalling both Unreal and all of Omniverse and then reinstalling everything, and all is back to normal.
The problem originated with me uninstalling Unreal and reinstalling it.
The Omniverse Connector must have left something behind to make Onmiverse think it was still there.
Thank you all for the helpful suggestions.
