Screen freezing at login after switching from headless to standard drivers

I’ve got a GeForce GTX 1070 on a machine with Ubuntu 20.04. I’ve been using nvidia-headless-470 and CUDA 11.3 on this machine for about a year, without any monitors plugged in. Now I’d like to plug a monitor in, so I switched to nvidia-drivers-470. Now when I boot up it loads the GDM login screen and then freezes. I’ve also tried nvidia-drivers-515. The logs attached below were created while 515 was installed:

There’s no sign of anything freezing, the Xserver is running fine. It seems your mouse and keyboard are ignored No input driver specified, ignoring this device.
Please check your Xorg package setup is complete.

Awesome, thanks!
