Setting up MCP server using Claude on a Linux system for Isaac Sim

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a tutorial I made on setting up the MCP server for Isaac Sim using Claude Desktop as the AI agent, all on a Linux system.

This was inspired by Eric’s original post here:
https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/isaac-mcp-server-support-is-available/329195

Watch the video tutorial:

Huge thanks to Eric and Zhong for the MCP setup — just wanted to build on their work and help more people get started with AI-controlled simulation workflows.

You could contribute the newly added examples back to GitHub - omni-mcp/isaac-sim-mcp: Isaac Simulation MCP Extension and Server

Going to start setting up tools to control robots in sim next.

Just giving back to this amazing community. Love the open source concept. Exited to see new updates with Isaac Sim.

take a look usd.py and reuse load_usd() and transform() instead.
